          What are\nSTDS and HIV\/AIDS?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          STD <\/strong>simply means Sexually transmitted disease. It can be contracted mostly\nthrough sex between a male and female.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          HIV<\/strong> means Human immune- deficiency virus.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          VIRUS<\/strong> is the virus destroys parts of the white blood cells, the body diseases\nfighting immune system.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          AIDS<\/strong> means acquired immune   deficiency\nsyndrome. It is an illness that attacks the body and prevents the body from\nbeing able to resist other infections. Aids has no cure. It leads to death.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          STIS \u2013 Sexually transmitted\ninfections<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

           TYPES OF STDS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          SOME OF\nTHE STDS ARE:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1. Gonorrhea,<\/strong><\/li>
          2. Syphilis.<\/strong><\/li>
          3. HIV\/AIDS<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            Sources\nof hiv\/aids<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

            People\ncan contact hiv\/aids through the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

            1. Through sexual intercourse<\/strong><\/li>
            2. Using unsterilized needles<\/strong><\/li>
            3. Exchange of body piercing objects<\/strong><\/li>
            4. Syringes<\/strong><\/li>
            5. Toothbrush<\/strong><\/li>
            6. Through pregnancy, breastfeeding \nfrom mother to child<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              EFFECT OF STDS\/HIV\/AIDS ON FAMILY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

              The\neffect of STDS\/HIV\/AIDS on family may lead to the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

              1. Marriage failure.<\/strong><\/li>
              2. Reduction in family income.<\/strong><\/li>
              3. Break in family relationship.<\/strong><\/li>
              4. Lead to stigmatization<\/strong><\/li>
              5. Malnutrition<\/strong><\/li>
              6. Loss of love ones<\/strong><\/li>
              7. Orphans<\/strong><\/li>
              8. Miserable life<\/strong><\/li>
              9. Emotional stress<\/strong><\/li>
              10. It brings shame and reproach to the victim and family<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                EFFECT OF\nSTDS\/HIV\/AIDS ON LABOUR FORCE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                1. It reduce our population<\/strong><\/li>
                2. Children of victim may start crime in the society.<\/strong><\/li>
                3. It leads to loss of job.<\/strong><\/li>
                4. It leads to prostitution<\/strong><\/li>
                5. Stewardship<\/strong><\/li>
                6. begging<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                  HOW TO\nPREVENT HIV\/AIDS INFECTION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  1. Avoid pre-marital sex.<\/strong><\/li>
                  2. Condom should be used during sexual intercourse.<\/strong><\/li>
                  3. Wait until you are married before having sex.<\/strong><\/li>
                  4. Do not share sharp objects like needles, blades.<\/strong><\/li>
                  5. Blood should be properly checked before transfusion.<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
