A few were named after fellow\napostles. The epistles written for the churches are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The\nEpistle of Paul to the Romans which was written for the church in Rome.<\/li><li>The\nFirst and Second Epistles of Paul to the Corinthians which were written for the\nchurch in Corinth.<\/li><li>The\nEpistle of Paul to the Galatians which was written for the church in Galatia.<\/li><li>The\nEpistle of Paul to the Ephesians which was written for the church in Ephesus.<\/li><li>The\nEpistle of Paul to the Philippians which was written for the church in\nPhilippi.<\/li><li>The\nEpistle of Paul to the Colossians which was written for the church in Colosse.<\/li><li>The\nfirst and second Epistle of Paul to the Thessalonians which were written for\nthe Christians in Thessalonica. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the epistles were letters\nwritten to individuals. They are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The\nfirst and second letters of Paul to timothy which were written to timothy, a\nyounger apostle and a son in the lord, of Paul.<\/li><li>The\nletter of Paul to Titus which was also written to Titus who, like timothy, was\nlike a son to Paul.<\/li><li>The\nletter of Paul to Philemon which was written to Philemon\u2019s master.<\/li><li>The\nEpistle of Paul to the Hebrews which was written for Jews worldwide.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>REASON WHY PAUL WROTE EPISTLES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul\nwas arrested in Jerusalem for preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. He was\nlater sent to Rome for trial. While awaiting trial, Paul could only reach the\nchurches through letters. Thus, he wrote epistles which are letters. The following\nare the reason Paul wrote epistles to the churches:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>To\nencourage Christians to hold and increase their faith and grow, and to continue\nmaking more disciples for Jesus and to keep serving the lord Jesus.<\/li><li>To\ndiscourage falsehood in many churches where misleading doctrine were spreading.<\/li><li>To\nspread the gospel.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prayers: <\/strong>O lord, help\nus to understand your words and do them.
