Discuss the topic using these facts, you may\nadd to them depending on the level of the students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A formal letter is an official letter\nwritten in offices, to offices<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Examples of formal letters are:\napplication letter for employment, application for admission into school etc,\nofficial reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Features of formal letter<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Two\naddressees must be written by the writer.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    A: the writer\u2019s address\non the right hands side at the top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • The\ngreetings must be official.<\/li>
    • The\nheadline must bear the subject matter<\/li>
    • The\ncontent language must be official<\/li>
    • Complimentary\nclose must be official<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      INFORMAL LETTER<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Informal letters are letters written to friends and relatives. I this group are: a letter to a close friends, letter to a pen friend in another country or state, letter to a close relatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Features of informal letter<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Address of the write and\ndate: this must appear on the top right hand corner of the paper<\/li>
      • Greetings or salutation:  the salute written must show the cordial\nrelationship between the writer and the receiver. Such as: A: Dear Betha, b:\nDear friends, c: Dear uncle (with the name of the uncle) c: Dear uncle David\n(with the name of the uncle) Dearest may be used instead of dear.<\/li>
      • Complimentary Close: this\nis the greetings at the end of the letter. The examples are:  yours affectionately Samson (first name of the\nwriter). Your Sincerely (chima,  first\nname of the writer)<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
